Mission and Goals: Meals on Wheels of Wake County's mission is to provide nutritious meals to the frail, homebound elderly and persons with disabilities of Wake County in order to improve health, reduce isolation and prevent inappropriate institutionalization, and to serve nutritious meals and provide social and educational opportunities to persons over 60 in congregate senior nutrition sites. Our top three goals for our participants are to: *provide them with a daily, nutritious hot meal that will improve health and diet *provide them with a daily check-up and visit that makes them feel safer in their homes *give them the opportunity to continue living independently, with dignity, in their own home

Our services provide the opportunity for seniors to continue living well nourished independent and safe lives in their own homes and communities. YOUR DONATIONS MAKE A DIFFERENCE Meals on Wheels allows older adults in Wake County to maintain their dignity and independence and remain in their homes. When a volunteer delivers a meal to a homebound recipient we are not only providing a meal but we are also providing a visit and a check up.
