Many of you know Skie Palmer-Baltimore. Skie is a young man that you will find any day if the week at a wrestling practice/tournament, riding his skateboard or creating an Instagram dance video. He is a senior in high school and a proud product of Beat the Streets Baltimore. He has officially committed to McDaniel College, where he’ll pursue a degree in kinesiology and continue wrestling at the collegiate level. But before college begins, there’s one more milestone he’s determined to reach—the Beat the Streets Nationals. The freestyle wrestling tournament brings together standout athletes from BTS programs across the country. For Skie, it’s more than just a competition—it’s a celebration of everything he’s worked for. Last year, he competed alongside athletes from Cleveland, Philly, DC, and more, forming bonds and testing his skills against some of the best in the nation. The experience left a lasting mark, and now he’s working hard to return for one final run. “Wrestling has shaped my life,” Skie says. “It’s taught me discipline, confidence, and leadership. Beat the Streets introduced me to a community of peers who push each other to be better—and I want to finish strong.” Skie is raising $400 to help cover travel and tournament costs.
