History

ChildServe has its roots dating back to 1928 when it began serving children as the Convalescent Home for Children. Over the years, it evolved through mergers and expansions to become a comprehensive pediatric rehabilitation center. The organization was officially renamed ChildServe and has since grown to provide a wide range of services across Iowa.

The organization is driven by values that prioritize the needs of children and involve families in the care process.

Programs and Services

ChildServe offers specialized clinical, home, and community-based programs designed to meet the unique needs of children with developmental delays, disabilities, injuries, and other special healthcare needs. These services include:

• Pediatric Rehabilitation: Expert care for children with various developmental challenges.
• Inpatient Complex Medical Care: Provides 24-hour skilled nursing care in a family-focused environment for children unable to live at home due to complex medical needs.
