Our Mission Statement:The Chesapeake Audubon Society works in the Maryland region to promote the stewardship of natural ecosystems through conservation, restoration, education, and advocacy. Our mission at Chesapeake Audubon is an exciting one: to work in the Maryland region to promote the stewardship of natural ecosystems through education, conservation, restoration and advocacy. The Chesapeake Audubon Society’s Pickering Creek Audubon Center provides science programming in schools and field experiences at the 450-acre Center to school students and teachers from four counties in Maryland on the Eastern Shore. The Center’s trails are open to the public daily and programs about nature are offered for the general public. We also support the Patterson Park Audubon Center in Baltimore City and the Phoenix Wildlife Center.
