Theatreworks/Evergreen
TheatreWorks/Evergreen is a nonprofit cultural incubator in Midtown Memphis. By providing low cost production and office space to fledgling theatre companies, TW/EG makes it possible for the community to enjoy locally conceived theatre that might be otherwise financially prohibitive for small or new artistic groups to present. TW/EG has supported such artistic groups as Voices of the South. Jenny Odle Madden, Executive Director of Voices of the South opined in the Commercial Appeal, "A city without an incubator for new work is not a culturally rich city." TW/EG could not agree more strongly with Jenny's assertion and happily fills the role of new works incubator for the culturally rich Memphis Community.
