To acquire, preserve and maintain for the benefit of the publlc, the historic hope of Governor David Stone In Bertie County, NC known as Hope Plantation The mission includes providing educational, cultural and recreational benetlts for the public as an element of the hentage of the Roanoke - Chowan area

Located four miles west of Windsor NC the complex offers unique insights into the late 18th and 19thcentury rural life in eastern North Carolina and the South. Both homes are on the National Register of Historic Places and are administered by theHistoric Hope Foundation Inc. a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of Bertie County and RoanokeChowan Region of North Carolina.
