Our mission is to leverage the collective forces of students and experienced advocates to achieve justice for all. Rising for Justice provides free, high-quality legal services to low-income District of Columbia residents while teaching and inspiring the next generation of lawyers. We are committed to protecting the legal rights of vulnerable men, women, and children who have civil, criminal, and housing legal problems that originated in the District. Our steady presence in the courts serves as a vital check on a system that favors people with counsel and resources over people without.

Rising for Justice Rising for Justice is a leader in training social justice advocates and representing lowincome clients in matters critical to their wellbeing. We make justice a reality for vulnerable DC residents by providing free highquality legal representation in tandem with social work services to promote longlasting positive outcomes for our clients. Since our founding in 1969 we have protected the rights of over 250000 DC residents and given thousands of law students handson intensive training to prepare them for public interest careers.
