The mission of the Central Maryland Heritage League is to advocate encourage and enhance public awareness of this heritage through the conservation interpretation preservation and stewardship of the resources contributing to the South Mountain State Battlefield and its surrounds including but not limited to Wises Field historic Dahlgren Chapel and the Dahlgren family involvement in the events relating to the Civil War in Maryland.
