3 Sisters Equine Refuge located in Central Oregon rescues horses at risk of slaughter or neglect. 3 Sisters Equine Rescue offers refuge to injured, abandoned and abused horses. We offer second chances to horses that find their way to us by offering medical care, training, retirement or in some cases a humane end of life. Thousands of young, healthy, pregnant, and senior ponies, donkeys, mules and horses are slaughtered in Mexico and Canada for human consumption abroad each and every year. They are transported hundreds of miles with no food, water or rest, and slaughtered in the most inhumane way imaginable. We think this is unacceptable and are changing that, one horse at a time! We serve Central Oregon. We rescue all breeds and equids, most notably orphan horses, delicate victims of annual round ups. For the love of the horse!!!
