Estes Valley Watershed Coalition - EVWC | Estes Park We envision a healthy watershed that is resilient to extreme events sustains diverse habitats for flora and fauna and enhances the quality of life for our community. The Estes Valley Watershed Coalition works to protect the natural resources in the upper section of the Big Thompson Watershed system or the Estes Valley. In 2018 EVWC completed 14 flood restoration projects that were coordinated in response to the September 2013 flood that devastated Northern Colorado. EVWC brings together landowners and agencies to align economic and environmental interests so our community can be prepared for future events including floods wildfires forest diseases and invasive pests.
