• Empowering Consumers: Unlocking consumer demand for LPG by providing financial support for the acquisition of LPG equipment through microfinance institutions.
• Research and Collaboration: Collaborating with leading universities and research institutions to provide evidence-based insights into the role of LPG in global energy systems, focusing on health, climate, environment, women’s empowerment, and affordability.

Activities

The organization is involved in several key activities:

• National LPG Plans: Developing national plans for countries such as Cameroon, Kenya, Rwanda, and Ghana to enhance LPG availability and affordability.
• Bio-LPG Development: Pioneering the development of technologies to produce LPG from renewable resources like municipal solid waste and agricultural residues, aiming for a sustainable energy transition.
• Sustainable Development Goals: Collaborating with global organizations to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7), ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all.

Impact Target

The Global LPG Partnership aims to transition up to 1 billion people in developing countries to using clean LPG for cooking by 2030, a goal aligned with UN priorities.
