Women in Need, Inc.
"WIN provides programs and services that educate, enrich and empower." Women In Need began in 1997 when a small group of friends gathered together and supported a woman who, seeking to leave a controlling and abusive marriage, was in need of financial, emotional, and legal support. We pooled our resources and covered her expenses and provided the emotional support she so desperately needed. She has since found independence and we continue our mission to provide individualized assistance to women who find themselves in similar situations. In 1998 we officially formed the organization Women In Need, Inc. to further expand our ability to provide assistance. Over the years we have continually adjusted our programs to best meet the needs of our community without duplicating existing services offered by other organizations.
