Originally from Climax, NC, Robert’s love for native plants started early—thanks to his dad, who taught him the joys of gardening and tree ID. When he’s not tending to our Botanical Gardens, you can probably find him on the trails—backpacking, running, or cycling all over North Carolina. Robert also maintains his own native plant garden at home and is passionate about a future in forestry and wildlife management.
