TEXAS ALLIANCE FOR MINORITIES IN ENGINEERING
TAME is a nonprofit that for almost half a century has inspired and equipped Texas students from underrepresented groups to become future engineers. For 50 years, inspiring and supporting the next generation of Texas engineers TAME creates equitable experiences for students from underrepresented groups to explore futures in engineering by fostering their sense of belonging and equipping them with knowledge, skills, and intergenerational support through statewide programming at no cost to students.

TAME Engineer TAME programs connect Texas students to opportunities in Engineering. When students engage in a TAME Club or participate in a Regional Competition it doesnt matter if theyre from a small border town or a city center they all have access to the same highquality engineering education to spark their curiosity. TAME combines researchbased engineering learning opportunities with intentional efforts to build a strong sense of belonging and community among TAME students in the engineering classroom.
