Grand Family Coalition: Where Grandfamilies and Services Connect...... Grand Family Coalition's mission is to build a community of support around grandparents and other relatives raising kin and the children in their care. Kinship caregivers often take on the role of parent or guardian when the parent is unable to do so. Statistics show that children do better when placed with kin rather than stranger care. To support kinship caregivers we provide peer support, youth activities, resources, navigation of a complex child welfare system, and connection to services within our community that meet their specific needs.
