The center is designated as a multipurpose mental health treatment facility within the National Taxonomy of Exempt Entities (NTEE) classification.

Financial Overview

The organization's financials are primarily supported by program service revenues, which accounted for a significant portion of its total revenue in recent years. Contributions and grants also play a crucial role in funding operations. As of recent reports, program services constituted more than 90% of total revenue, with contributions typically about 6%.

However, it appears there might be confusion with another organization named Sandhill Center, which specializes in therapeutic care for children with emotional dysregulation. These are distinct entities with different missions and geographical locations. The Sandhill Center is based in New Mexico and focuses on assisting children aged 8 to 13, whereas the Sandhills Center in North Carolina provides a broader range of mental health services for its community.
