DLAF distributes the income to tax exempt agencies, institutions, or groups whose purposes are to improve the quality of life in the Devils Lake Area. These groups serve the following purposes: educational, scientific, medical, hygienic, musical, artistic, the preservation of art, historical records, public health, and the care of the aged, sick, helpless, poor and children.

Devils Lake Area Foundation Make a difference now and for future generations. About The Devils Lake Area Foundation was formed in 1975 by the Community Development Corporation of Devils Lake to provide a method for philanthropy in the Devils Lake Area. The income from this nonprofit taxexempt Trust must be used for charitable religious education scientific or literary purposes in the Devils Lake Area. It is a permanent endowment fund which means the principal contributions remains invested and only the income is distributed.
