We’re thrilled to announce that Samuel Regalado has been selected as the first recipient of The Children’s Heart Foundation’s $10,000 Scholarship for Researchers Committed to Advancing CHD Research in Racial and Ethnic Communities. ❤ Samuel is an MD/PhD candidate at the University of Washington and a proud member of the Southern California Barbareño Band of Chumash Indians. With this scholarship, he’ll pursue research focused on improving congenital heart defect outcomes in Indigenous and under-resourced populations.
