- Publications: NAPA publishes the journal Central Plains Archeology, which contains technical articles on the archaeology of Nebraska and the surrounding region. It also publishes a newsletter to inform its members about association activities and matters of concern.
- Testimony and Workshops: Occasionally, NAPA testifies before the state legislature on proposed legislation affecting archaeological resources. It conducts public workshops on archaeological topics and co-sponsors volunteer excavations.
- Tours and Events: NAPA guides tours of archaeological sites in the state and participates in the observance of Nebraska Archaeology Week.
- Awards: The association offers the William Duncan Strong Memorial Award to honor contributions to the knowledge, appreciation, and preservation of Nebraska's archaeological heritage.
