PIGS Animal Sanctuary
Established in 1992, PIGS Animal Sanctuary is a nonprofit farm and companion animal shelter and sanctuary located in Shepherdstown, WV. Situated in the beautiful eastern panhandle of West Virginia, PIGS is home to more than 300 animals, including potbelly pigs, domestic pigs, cattle, horses, donkeys, chickens, turkeys, dogs, and cats. PIGS provides lifetime homes for domestic farm animals that have been abandoned, neglected, or seized by municipal authorities. PIGS also finds adoptive homes for cats and dogs received from local and national rescue and municipal agencies. A haven for animals with few options, PIGS Animal Sanctuary provides loving care in a bucolic country setting attended by staff and volunteers with a deep commitment to humane animal protection.
