🚨🚨🚨Working Dwelling Fire🚨🚨🚨 At 2148 hrs on 5/30/2025, E441 was alerted to respond as the 4th due engine to the area of Falls Road and Gunpowder Road in the Hampstead area (Box 85-21) for a reported dwelling fire. E441 arrived to find a 2-story single-family dwelling with fire showing from Sides A & B. E441 assumed first due engine responsibilities and established command, stretched multiple hose lines, and initiated a fire attack from the exterior. After completing a 360° evaluation of the structure, it was determined that Side C was mostly unaffected by the fire. E441, E60, and R4 (Manchester) made access to the basement and confirmed no active fire. The same crews stretched an 1.75” attack line from Side C into the structure and extinguished most of the visible fire on Floor 1 and then Floor 2. Crews were unable to safely make access to the attic area from the interior, and no truck access was available to the roof due to live power lines. DC4 assumed command and resumed an exterior fire attack strategy. Attempts were made to extinguish the fire in the attic via gable vents on Sides B and D, but crews were ultimately unsuccessful. E441, S442, TSU444, and TT446 operated on location for ~4 hrs. Crews from Baltimore and Carroll Counties assisted with extinguishment.
