URGENT HELP NEEDED!‼️ I dont want to do this today but I’m at my wits end and we need some help. Was going to try and do a video, and I still will, but for now I just need to suck it up, post this, and ask for the help we need…. As everyone knows, Oklahoma has been hammered with tons of rain these past few weeks… while we needed rain, this much- this FAST- has caused a LOT of issues for MANY people, us included. Our stalls and most all of our pens have flooded causing us to have to scramble to fix and make do as quickly as possible, weve had fences washed out, our driveway is washed out BAD (we have someone whos going to try and get that fixed once it dries out some Thank god!)…. ON TOP OF ALL THAT, we’ve lost hundreds of dollars of feed when we had a leak in our feed room, and I found out last night that the round bales of hay we had reserved (being held at a hay supplier) are toast. 😣…. (Well some are still there technically, but wont be safe to feed to our animals anymore🤦♀️) Thankfully, the hay provider is going to try to find more for us to honor our agreement… but, for now, we have to scramble to buy more to get us by until they can. The hard truth is- we DONT HAVE THE MONEY FOR THIS. I’m personally working as many hours as possible to make ends meet, but these animals need this hay, and we have to replace the lost feed this week as well. Our account DOESNT HAVE THE $$$ FOR THIS!!!! PLEASE: If you can spare even a few dollars, we need it right now!!! I am attaching a list of items we need and their current cost to this post… 💕Tax deductible donations can be made in one of the following ways!!! (we prefer to not use facebook donations as they hold the funds for a long time, take out a lot of fees, and we need to buy hay and feed like TODAY): 💜 You can call and pay directly to our feed store! Just call SHAWNEE FEED CENTER at 405-214-3333 ask for a manager, Donna, or Janie. They will take payment over the phone, and put it on our account! 💜 Venmo: @onedayranch 💜cashapp: $1DayRanch 💜PayPal: 1dayranch@gmail.com or PayPal.me/1DayRanchRescue 💜ApplePay: 405-226-1946 Thank you all, and if you can’t help today? That’s ok! Please share so maybe others will see who can!!! We have been doing our best to (literally) stay afloat- but today we need some help!!! (Also including some crazy pics of what it’s looked like recently at our feed store! 😱 we got a LOT of water….) (fb)

Hey everyone! I’ve held off on posting about a new special intake that we got on April 3rd because TBH, I wasn’t sure there was much of a chance for him… However, since he is proving me wrong so far and as such will require lots of extra help from us and a specialist vet visit, it’s time! (I’m also just very excited to finally share him with the world, as he’s a VERY special little dude!!) 🐥Meet Duckenstein! 🐥If you are looking at these pictures and asking yourself “is that a leg growing out of that ducks head?!?” THE ANSWER IS YES. Yes. That is a leg and half of a foot….growing out of his head. Duckenstein came out of the egg with a condition called Polymelia. A birth defect causing extra limbs to be present on the body… While it’s somewhat common in mammals, it’s quite rare in birds. Many don’t live very long, so it’s hard to know the exact number hatched each year- but it’s safe to say it’s NOT a high number. Other than the extra leg/part of a foot coming from his head, he was a very normal hatchling. He is now 2.5 weeks old, and is growing but, at a much slower rate than he should be, he also has some pretty bad balance issues. At this time we are not sure if this is neurological, or if it is due to the extra weight on his head as the leg is growing along with his body. (No it doesn’t move. But it is growing) We are doing everything in our power to give this extra special dude the best chance at life! We have spoken with a few vets who advised us to give him some time and watch him closely these past 2.5 weeks as he was far too small when we got him to for anyone to know what to do for him… Now that he has grown some, we are hoping to get him in with a specialist ASAP to find out if the extra leg will need to be removed or if there’s something we can do to help his balance and growth issues. We obviously don’t know what the future holds, but we are loving on him and enjoying every day we have! He’s a goofy guy and always makes us smile. We are waiting to hear back to find out the best vet options for him but hope to get him in this next week. Any donations to his case would be awesome! We have been struggling lately and specialist vets are VERY expensive. So if you would like to contribute to Duckenstein’s case you can make a tax deductible donation in one of the following ways! 💜On Venmo: @OneDayRanch 💜On Cashapp: $1DayRanch 💜On Paypal: 1DayRanch@gmail.com (they do take fees!) 💜Applepay: 405-226-1946 💜Here on Facebook (they also take fees!)
