Family and Home Network focuses on parent/child time together and on parents' experiences and feelings. Offering affirmation, information and advocacy. Affirmation, Information and Advocacy * National grassroots nonprofit organization founded in 1984 Family and Home Network helps families spend generous amounts of time together. We focus on children's needs for warm, nurturing relationships with their parents--and on parents' experiences and feelings as they take the time to meet their children's needs. We offer affirmation, information and advocacy to parents who forgo or cut back on paid employment in order to care for their children (as well as those who would like to spend more time with their children). We educate the general public and policy makers about the benefits of parents and children being emotionally engaged and spending generous amounts of time together. We advocate for inclusive family policies which support parents regardless of their income-earning and caregiving choices.
