Mother Mentors of Whidbey Island, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, nurtures mothers and other caregivers of young children by providing practical and emotional support. The mission of Mother Mentors is to nurture parents and caregivers of children birth to five by offering practical, emotional and concrete support. The vision of Mother Mentors is for all families of young children on the island to feel supported and connected to each other and to their community. We envision our community as one extended family, supporting and strengthening parents/caregivers to give our children a healthy, loving start in life. We recognize that there are opportunity gaps for many young children and families based on race, ethnicity, gender, income, ability, culture, and geography. We commit to eliminating these gaps and addressing the root causes. We commit to approaching our work with a sense of cultural humility and inclusion.

Our Programs Playscape At Playscape every childs potential is celebrated and every familys journey is cherished. By creating a thoughtful play space and enriching activities we provide a platform for caregivers to develop supportive parenting skills. InHome Mentoring Our mentoring program for mothers fathers families of all shapes and sizes expands each familys circle of support enhancing stability and boosting parental confidence through weekly inhome volunteer mentorship.
