The Iowa Talented and Gifted Association recognizes, values, and supports the unique and diverse needs of all talented and gifted children and youth through advocacy, education, and networking. ADVOCACY by encouraging informed educational professionals, parents, policy makers, and all other stakeholders to take appropriate action for the benefit of talented and gifted learners. EDUCATION by offering direction in the design of evidence-based systems of identification and qualitatively-differentiated programming that addresses the academic, cognitive, affective, and social needs of talented and gifted learners. NETWORKING by increasing opportunities for collaboration and cooperation among all stakeholders with the goal of advancing the abilities and developing the potential of individuals.
