The National Consumer Voice for Quality Long-Term Care is a nonprofit organization dedicated to achieving quality for people with long-term care needs. The National Consumer Voice for Quality Long-Term Care (Consumer Voice)'s mission is to represent consumers at the national level for quality long-term care, services and supports. We are consumers -- residents and their advocates -- who define and achieve quality for residents in long term care facilities. We accomplish quality through: Informed, empowered consumers Effective citizen groups and ombudsman programs Promoting best practices in care delivery Public policy responsive to residents' needs and Enforcement of standards.

In addition some in Congress are seeking to block the nursing home minimum staffing standard from going into effect. These actions would have devastating consequences for individuals receiving longterm care. Contact your members of Congress and tell them to oppose any cuts to Medicaid and efforts to block the nursing home staffing rule.
