THE MISSION OF THE LEADERSHIP IS TO DEVELOP, ENGAGE, AND CONNECT BALTIMORE'S MOST TALENTED INDIVIDUALS TO BECOME MORE EFFECTIVE CIVIC LEADERS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY IN THE BALTIMORE REGION BY FOCUSING ON 1) EXPLORING BALTIMORE'S HISTORY, CHALLENGES, ASSETS, AND PEOPLE, 2) DEVELOPING CIVIC LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES, AND 3) FORGING SUBSTANTIVE RELATIONSHIPS AMONGST PARTICIPANTS. PROGRAMMING IS DESIGNED FOR DIVERSE INDIVIDUALS IN ORGANIZATIONS IN THE PUBLIC, PRIVATE, AND NOT-FOR-PROFIT SECTORS. IMMERSIVE FIELD-BASED LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES, SMALL AND LARGE GROUP DISCUSSIONS, RETREATS, COMPETENCY BUILDING ACTIVITIES, AND INTERACTIONS WITH A BROAD SPECTRUM OF BALTIMORE'S MOST INFLUENTIAL INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS CREATES A TRANSFORMATIVE DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE FOR PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS.
