We serve students with the greatest educational needs who have been historically underserved by the current educational system. We exist to build an equitable foundation for education. TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING FOR SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS AND TEACHERS, RESEARCH AND PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT AND CONDUCTING CONFERENCES ON CURRENT ISSUES IN EDUCATION. TO CREATE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING AND SUPPORT FOR URBAN SCHOOL DISTRICTS THROUGH PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, TASK FORCE MEETINGS, ENROLLMENT PROJECTIONS AND LEGISLATIVE IMPACTS.

Our work begins by considering every students unique start in our member school districts working to balance an inequitable educational system. The Michigan Alliance for Student Opportunity is a group of member school districts that serve students with the greatest educational needs.
