Jamie.baker@cvn75.navy.mil Founded in 1974, the Aviation Boatswain's Mates Association represents the Navy's elite Sailors, addressing issues affecting Sailors, equipment, and naval aviation safety. It has significantly improved aircraft launch/recovery, refueling, handling, and firefighting. The association holds annual Professional Working Groups for ABs to share insights and foster camaraderie. These workshops, attended by fleet, shore personnel, technical specialists, and directors, focus on problem-solving. Outcomes are sent to the Chief of Naval Operations, granting ABs unique access for advocacy and change.
