Umunhum Conservancy Dedicated to preserving Mount Umunhum and the historic Radar Tower at its summit The Umunhum Conservancy was founded in 2012 to preserve the historic Radar Tower atop Mount Umunhum. The Tower is a local landmark seen by more than a million people every day. It is the primary surviving remnant of the Almaden Air Force Station. The Station scanned the skies from 1957 until 1980 protecting the Bay Area from incoming enemy attack.
