FIRST South Carolina supports the development of future scientists and engineers through robotics and STEM activities. FIRST SOUTH CAROLINA WORKS TO INSPIRE THE NEXT GENERATION OF STEM LEADERS IN SOUTH CAROLINA BY PROVIDING ACCESS TO THE FIRST PROGRESSION OF PROGRAMS, FROM FIRST LEGO LEAGUE TO THE FIRST ROBOTICS COMPETITION, RANGING FROM AGES 4 TO 18 YEARS OLD. WE ORGANIZE COMPETITIVE EVENTS IN ALL THREE FIRST PROGRAMS AS WELL AS NON-COMPETITIVE, SHOWCASE, TRAINING, WORKSHOPS AND INFORMATIVE EVENTS.

Founded in 1989 by inventor Dean Kamen FIRST For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology is a global nonprofit 501c3 organization that prepares young people for the future through a suite of inclusive teambased robotics programs for ages 418 PreK12. Our programs are suitable for schools or structured afterschool activities and receive support from a vast network of volunteers educators and sponsordonors including over 200 Fortune 500 companies.
