Station #5, We are an all volunteer fire department located in Avenue, Maryland, St. Mary's County. Protecting the Birthplace of Maryland The Seventh District Volunteer Fire Department was formed in 1949. We serve the 7th Election District and portions of the 4th in St. Mary's County. We are all volunteer and currently have 50 active members. THE MISSION OF THIS DEPARTMENT SHALL BE TO ENCOURAGE FIRE PREVENTION AND EDUCATION, TO PROVIDE FIRE PROTECTION, AND TO PREVENT THE LOSS OF LIFE AND PROPERTY BY FIRE WITHIN OUR DISTRICT AND THROUGH MUTUAL AID TO ADJACENT TERRITORIES.

This unit is a 2024 Spartan 6 person cab with a Custom Fire body. It carries 2000 gallons of water and has a 1500 GPM Hale fire pump. It also features a 3000 gallon portable tank rear and side dumps and various tools and equipment.
