We’re excited to celebrate our new documentary, Real Lives: Cancer Stories of Indigenous People, which premiered at the First Americans Museum in Oklahoma City, OK. This project is rooted in respect and truth, and it honors Indigenous people's knowledge, spirit, and strength. The film sheds light on the social, economic, and geographic barriers that continue to perpetuate health disparities across multiple American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities. Through the voices of those living with cancer, their families, and their communities, this documentary highlights the challenges faced by many, as well as the strength and resilience that define Indigenous communities.
