Last week, the Upper School Harry and Zelda Sloan Scholars program hosted a final convocation and dinner for the year that included pre-readings, table discussions, a cohort-wide seminar, and closing reflections from students, as well as words from Dr. Dave Sloan in memory of his grandparents. In preparation for the event, the 50+ students in the 9th-12th grade program read R. Soloveitchik's essay, "Jewish Sovereignty and the Redemption of the Shekhina," a foundational and rich text that was central to that evening's discussions. (fb)
