ITS OBJECTIVES ARE TO UNITE ALL WORKERS WITHIN ITS JURISDICTION FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES: IMPROVE WAGES, HOURS, AND WORKING CONDITIONS; ADVANCE THEIR ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND CULTURAL INTERESTS; INCREASE PEACEFUL RELATIONS BETWEEN MEMBERS AND EMPLOYERS; INCREASE THE STABILITY OF THE INDUSTRY; ASSURE FULL EMPLOYMENT; SUPPORT DEMOCRACY AND FREE TRADE UNIONISM; OTHER ACTIVITES NECESSARY TO STRENGTHEN THE LABOR MOVEMENT.
