"Promoting critical thinking, education, and informed citizenship by presenting controversial issues in a straightforward, nonpartisan primarily pro-con format." ProCon.org is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nonpartisan public charity. Our free, innovative website surpassed the 27,800,000 annual user mark in 2016. We meet vital needs of our democracy that are not being met by politicians, the news media and our educational system. These are the needs for informed citizenship, nonpartisan information, and the development of critical thinking skills that enable people to question information, evaluate opposing views, and debate them in a respectful way.
