Exploring Da Vinci Winchester Musica Viva Winchesters premiere semiprofessional chamber choir presents performances exploring the artistic and scientific genius Leonardo da Vinci. Through this program we explore the intersections of art and science with Renaissance compositions from da Vincis time including madrigals from one of the earliest operas by Claudio Monteverdi. The program features the newly composed set of pieces Triptych of Knowledge by Jocelyn Hagen with texts from Leonardos notebook pages and culminates with Eric Whitacres tour de force masterwork Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine. The program will explore da Vincis impact on the arts through a wide variety of repertoire with narration.
