It's official - We are breaking ground on construction of a turf athletics field next Wednesday, June 4th at 1pm! We expect the project to be complete by August 2025, in time to host other local schools, organizations and sports teams in the coming school year. The athletics field will cater to field games such as soccer, flag football and potentially lacrosse. The approximately 60,800 sq foot field includes a regulation soccer field and a single lane walking track. We are so excited to host home field games for the first time in our 12-year history - and continuing to grow and be a place of community for our families and the larger community! "We are super excited about the addition of a turf field for our athletics program. This will help elevate our sports programs in both middle school and high school. It will give our student athletes, coaches and teams the opportunity to practice on campus and host home games in multiple sports. The addition of the turf field will also allow us to explore adding new sports in the future while continuing to build a culture that cultivates competition and community building." said Athletic Director Kim Burke. Board of Directors member, Jim Davidson, said, "Seeing a new soccer field for FSI take shape over the last year has been the most rewarding experience of my tenure on the Board. I will be watching it develop over the summer from our groundbreaking to students playing on the field this August." We are looking forward to another incredible year of growth with all of you!
