As #GESL continues to work with EducAid Sierra Leone in partnership, the capacity-building on Career Management for parents and teachers kicked off this past weekend! Participants were able to discuss how to best support their girls or daughters to set themselves up for academic and work success. Through discussion and workshop games, participants were able to learn ways to consciously stay involved in their young womens' lives to help them move forward. As GESL extends our partnerships we are excited about our work in Portloko with our implementing partner EducAid Sierra Leone GESL always values the involvement of the parents and teachers in its program for the betterment of the girls. This past Saturday, the parents and teachers in Port Loko held their first engagement meeting with the GESL Team. This engagement meeting helped parents and teachers get more familiarized with one another. Also, the academic enrichment program for the girls was elaborated to the parents and teachers. Communication was fostered between parents and teachers to support GESL girls' success in school and at home.
