Working together to improve the lives of NYC's shelter animals by donating needed supplies, promoting adoptions, and increasing fosters and volunteers. 501(3)c Working together to improve the lives of NYC's shelter animals by sponsoring medical care of at risk animals and donating essential supplies. The Hungry Pet Project. The Smiling Cat Project. Shelter Mutt Makeover. Kitten Season. Partnership for Shelter Animals NYC (PSA NYC)'s mission is to improve the lives of NYC’s homeless and abandoned animals. Our primary focus is helping the animals at Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC). In addition to providing beds and toys, and promoting adoption, volunteering and fostering, we also make up for lapses in supplies and provide critical medical care and equipment. We work with rescue groups to save At Risk animals, and sponsor an Volunteer Care Team dedicated to providing extra TLC to sick animals at ACC. In April 2020, we launched The Hungry Pet Project: Feeding Pets in Crisis, a Covid-19 Relief Effort, whose mission is to help financially struggling pet parents feed their pets, so pets can stay in their homes and off the street and out of the shelter.

Hungry Pet Project COVID19 RELIEF EFFORT Partnership for Shelter Animals NYClaunchedThe Hungry Pet Projectin April 2020 to help pet owners in financial crisis feed their pets during the pandemic. By providing pet food we hope to keep pets in their homes rather than being surrendered to a shelter or worse abandoned to the streets. No one should have to choose between feeding themselves or feeding their pets. During the first 7 months of operation we distributed more than 20000worthof pet food through our food pantry partners as well as helping home bound owners in need.

PSA from PSA NYC: When it's cold outside, cats may seek the warmth of a car engine or the shelter of a wheelwell. Bang on the hood and kick the tires to scare them out. And don't drive if you hear meowing.

Just donated to The Hungry Pet Project! It’s heartbreaking to think some people have to choose between feeding themselves or their pets. Every bit helps keep pets with their families. Let’s all do what we can! 🐶🥰 #SupportShelterAnimals #PetsAreFamilyToo
