As a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, we promote the use of Sesquicentennial State Park and raise funds for special projects to enhance the 1,419 acre space. Friends of Sesqui State Park has been formed to help preserve, protect and publicize the park in Northeast Richland, where urbanization has surrounded Sesqui’s once-rural 1,419 acres. Friends of Sesqui was formed in 2011 to help preserve, protect and publicize the 1,419-acre park. As a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, the organization seeks to raise funds to help improve facilities, help the rangers meet specific needs, provide volunteers for support services, and host programs to increase awareness about the park. This helps the state park remain self-sufficient as directed by the state legislature.
