COURT WATCH MONTGOMERY INC
Court Watch Montgomery: We expand domestic violence victims' access to justice & vital services by reporting data & stories from court. We advocate for ongoing systemic change for domestic violence survivors. Court Watch Montgomery reduces domestic violence by improving how Montgomery County and Maryland courts handle civil and criminal domestic violence cases. We have approximately 70 volunteers who attend criminal and civil domestic violence hearings. These volunteers fill out a detailed form that covers the specifics of each case, including case dispositions, important dialogue, and ordered reliefs. We compile these details into our database which allows us to publish reports on our findings and make county and state recommendations. We identify key gaps in our domestic violence safety net and advocate for effective changes in our courts and community to address them.
