Empowering adults with disabilities through learning and social engagement that fosters independence. Our mission is rooted in the idea that all people with intellectual and developmental disabilities should be defined by their strengths and abilities--not by their disability--and that every person deserves to thrive and participate fully in society. While students do pay tuition to attend Social & Learning Institute, nearly two-thirds of our annual revenue comes in the form of grants, donations, and fundraising. Community support allows us to provide the amazing adults we serve with ongoing opportunities to engage with their peers, expand their talents and abilities, practice essential life skills, and engage in their community.
