Delta Kappa Epsilon Psi Chapter The University of Alabama The University of Alabamas Psi Chapter of Delta Kappa Epsilon was chartered on June 20 1847 as the seventh chapter nationally and the first at the Capstone. Faculty opposition to the organization was severe and its persistence eventually led to the fraternitys inactivity between 1856 and 1885. Since its reestablishment as an active chapter the DKEs have consistently been regarded as one of if not the premier fraternities on campus. The fact that the Psi Chapter has been awarded the Lion Trophy as the top DKE chapter in the country numerous times is a testament to this fact.
