CANTER affiliates across the country offer a free advertising service to racing owners by marketing retiring horses on CANTER's website https://www.canterusa.org and Social Media through its "Post. Place. Win" program. Some CANTER affiliates take the thoroughbred into CANTER ownership. The CANTER program provides rehabilitation, vet/farrier care, retraining for new careers, marketing and adoption to CANTER-approved non-race homes. More than 25,000 thoroughbreds have transitioned into new careers and new homes since the CANTER program began in 1998.
