Dedicated to improving the quality of long term care for older Kansans at home and in residential care settings. Advocating for QUALITY long-term care for all older adults since 1975. Statewide 501 (c)(3) non-profit. Over 1000 member-volunteers, a 12-member Board of Directors, four staff members and numerous volunteers. Mission: Advocating for Quality Long-Term Care for older and disabled adults in Kansas. Founded in 1975 as Kansans for Improvement of Nursing Homes by Anna "Petey" Cerf of Lawrence. The name changed to Kansas Advocates for Better Care in 1996. Our goal is to make sure each nursing home resident is treated with the dignity and respect they deserve, while receiving optimum health care.
