Abbott House strives to provide premier services for youth and families. We provide young people with a second chance at youth—a place of hope and recovery. Abbott House provides residential treatment, therapeutic foster care & independent living for youth. Since 1939 Abbott House has provided residential treatment services for girls ages nine to seventeen who have suffered trauma and abuse. Girls come to Abbott House with physical and emotional scars and the tragic burden of being disregarded. Abbott House provides girls with a second change at youth, a place of hope and recovery. Without help now, many of these young women perpetuate the cycle of violence and punish themselves indefinitely for the tragedy that was placed on their shoulders. It is a place where girls get another chance to turn the abuse and victimization of their past into experiences they live with, but that do not overwhelm their lives. Abbott House strives to provide premier services for girls and their families.

We love our local Girl Scouts. 💚 Not only does this incredible program empower young girls to become leaders, but it also fosters a deep commitment to community and kindness. Recently, Girl Scouts from Mitchell and the surrounding area gathered up their unsold cookies and donated them to the girls at Abbott House.
