Our mission is to foster a community working together to improve & save the lives of homeless animals. The Animal Welfare League of Queen Anne’s County (AWL) is an incorporated, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to create a safe, temporary place for unwanted animals until a permanent home can be found. Through community involvement and organizational outreach, we aim to give more than second chances by making pet companionship available to all who can offer a loving home; reducing animal suffering and abuse; eliminating euthanasia for all adoptable animals, and raising awareness of the benefits a “no-kill” community can have on citizens and animals.
