Founded in 1987, the Matthews Historical Foundation works to preserve the unique character and history of our Town through educational programming, community events, and the upkeep of the Reid House and the Massey-Clark House. To research, preserve and protect the cultural, architectural and historical heritage of Matthews and to involve and educate future generations of this heritage

Matthews Historical Foundation Preserving Our Past for the Future Home Welcome to Matthews Historical Foundation Since its inception in 1987 the Matthews Historical Foundation MHF has been a nonprofit organization comprised of dedicated volunteers. The mission and goal of the foundation is community service through the restoration and upkeep of the historic Reid House and surrounding property as well as bringing Matthews history to life. The Matthews Historical Foundation is located in Matthews North Carolina. The Matthews Historical Foundation is the proud owner and caretaker of the Reid House and the Matthews Heritage Museum both in downtown Matthews.
