THIS SATURDAY NIGHT!!! Ian St George and A Pallet for the Shoal share the bill at a May 24, Saturday night rave-up at Best Video Film & Cultural Center. The show starts at 7 PM and the cover is $10. With 4 singles in the can, and the debut record, "Emergency Index" already being cited as an "instant classic," ISG hits the sweet spot somewhere right between the dreamy hypno guitars of Sonic Youth, paired with a healthy dose of harmonized guitar leads that Scott Gorham himself would approve of, and enough power pop sparkle to make even the snootiest of music snobs perk up their ears in intrigue to have a listen. A Pallet for the Shoal is a trio from the New Haven area consisting of Lucas Healy-Hibbard (bass), Chris Maiorano (drums), and Clay Eles (vocals / guitar). The group has been performing their original music for 7 years.
